Franklin Graham Assures Us All That Donald Trump is Saved

Franklin Graham Assures Us All That Donald Trump is Saved 2026-04-06T08:00:42-05:00

Whether you voted for Donald Trump or not, if you are a true Christian, you have prayed for him. He’s the leader of our country, so the guy needs all the divine help he can get.

If you have followed Donald Trump throughout his real estate career, hosting The Apprentice, owning “Miss Universe,” and then his political career, a few things are clear. Well, one in particular. His “fruit tree” seems to be out of season for many months of the year.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.  If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.  By this, my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

John 15:5-8, ESV

From the forkful of morning waffles that come hurling out of his mouth during press conferences or the continued rumors about places he has been and things he has done, Donald Trump doesn’t have the most sterling record at producing good fruit.

So, why is Franklin Graham coming to the President’s defense and discussing his salvation on Palm Sunday? Well, the story didn’t begin this week; it started last year. Yet, the culmination should force many Bible-believing and politically leaning Christians to pause.

This hits close to home, depending on where you live.

Is Donald Trump Saved

Yes, the image doesn’t mean anything. Kim Jong-il could do the same thing and achieve the same result, and he’s Satan’s poker buddy. However, the question is not optics. Rather, does Donald Trump even read the thing?

He is surrounded by evangelical pastors and leaders of the Christian faith every day (and thank the Lord for that). The man understands what it means to follow the Lord, but does He do it?

When we see the establishment of the White House Faith Office and making some the boldest moves ever witnessed for the protection of Christianity, his fruit is on full display. That’s Farmer’s Market produce there.

Other saved men and women have held political office at the federal level, yet, few things come close to what the Church has witnessed in the Trump Administration.

And then, there’s the spoiled fruit section. You know? That decripid fruit hidden in boxes of open-air grocery stores entertaining a swarm of flies? Yeah, our Commander-in-Chief has racked up and stored countless of those nasty boxes.

So, where do believers stand on understanding his salvation. Welp, there’s a problem—it’s none of our business.

Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

Philippians 2:12. BSB

See? “Your salvation” isn’t our salvation. The man says he believes in Jesus, so shouldn’t that suffice?

Enter into the fray, Rev. Franklin Graham.

Donald Trump is Saved

Isn’t it clear? The man has his own Bible! Okay, that was cheap. Back to Franklin Graham…

The president and CEO of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the global missionary effort Samaritan’s Purse has remained a stalwart ally of Donald Trump’s. He’s a good friend to have when you’re leading the free world and need to pray in a pinch.

Last October, the president said something that Graham couldn’t let go of emotionally.

He was aborad Air Force One when reporters thought questioning the man’s eternal mortality wouldn’t be out of bounds considering he just brokered a peace treaty between Israel and Hamas. Holding his fresh pretzels, the President noted he was uncertain about his fate after he dies.

“You know, I’m being a little cute. I don’t think there’s anything gonna get me in heaven. I really don’t.”

Before that, in August 2025 during an appearance on Fox & Friends, Trump said that he was “[trying] to get to heaven if possible,” but added that he’d been told he was “not doing well” and was “at the bottom of the totem pole.” That was followed up with GOP fundraising emails asking for donations alongside a message that read, “I want to try and get to Heaven.”

The question of his salvation has apparently been on his mind.

As someone who loves the Lord and wants to see all humanity come to know Jesus Christ, that can be disturbing. Franklin Graham felt that way and sent Donald Trump a personal letter of encouragement and love. We know it about now because Trump shared it to the world on Palm Sunday via Truth Social.

Franklin Graham had the temerity to do what no one around Donald Trump was willing to do—talk about Jesus. Something was troubling the President. It was obvious, at least, to Franklin Graham.

So, he shares the Romans Road. In church “bubble talk,” it’s the only way to get to heaven. Whatever you or mom an dem’ think about Donald Trump, has he confessed with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in his heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9)?

Leaning on personal experience that no one can question, Franklin Graham told Donald Trump that if he did only that, he would be “heaven bound.” A gaggle of theological experts have shared countless times that has happened.

Ergo, Donald Trump is saved. Period. Move on.

Now about that fruit thing, because brother, we need to update that produce section. People are beginning to talk and shop elsewhere.
