How does Obama view “We the People?” Here’s one big clue August 14, 2016

Congress acts as the representative of We the People in D.C. So when the Obama administration keeps Congress in the dark about the administration’s actions, it communicates its clear disregard for adhering to the will of the people.

Now we have yet another example.

A new report from the Washington Free Beacon has revealed that this administration took steps to withhold from lawmakers the details of a $400 million cash payout to Iran and continues to rebuke inquiries from Congress for information about how another $1.3 billion in taxpayer funds was awarded to the Islamic Republic.

The possibility of a ransom deal is bad enough. But when the President attempts to hide his actions from Congress, something needs to change.

The truth is, the President and the Courts have been disregarding the will of the people for years. Congress long ago ceded its legislative power to federal bureaucracies and the Supreme Court, and the President couldn’t care less about working behind Congress’s back.

It’s time for the American people to stand up and fight for their voice in D.C.; it’s time for a Convention of States.

A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that give the states and the people real recourse when the feds overstep their boundaries. It can also restore true legislative authority to Congress by stripping federal agencies and the courts of their lawmaking power.
