A life well lived

Thousands line the streets to see Steven McDonald one last time. Det. McDonald was a police officer who was paralyzed in the line of duty.  He later forgave the shooter who changed his life forever.

That’s what being a Christian is all about Charlie Brown.  Forgiveness.  There’s not much of that nowadays, and some discourse seems based on purposefully dismissing the idea that we are called to forgive those who have done us wrong.

Det. McDonald knew better.  One of the best ways to be a witness to the Faith is to live it.  And he showed us how it’s done.  God’s peace that surpasses all understanding be upon him and his loved ones.  Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him.
