It’s that time of year again

Pi Day!   I have a hankering for gooseberry pie this year.  I don’t know why.  My wife, who is our resident math expert, might have other suggestions.

And in honor of this day dedicated to math geeks everywhere, I always post this, one of my boys’ all time favorite Youtube videos:

But if that wasn’t enough – and by golly, it ought to be – it’s also time to fill out your brackets!  My oldest is our resident expert for filling out the tournament brackets.  I really had my hopes on him back when Buffett made his wager with America.  I even had the number for a new ice machine and everything.  Oh well.

I must admit, I’ll miss President Obama’s annual bracket predictions.  Not that he ever did better than most I know.  But there was something comforting about the most powerful man in the free world having no better luck than I had when it came to predicting the NCAA champions.

Forget this year.  It’s anyone’s guess.
