Leave it to Trump

So Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg overstepped the bounds by commenting on Trump’s candidacy.  Even on CNN the consensus is that she was wrong.  As Paul Ryan said, in an appointed position such as Supreme Court Justice, you can’t give the impression of bias.   What if a case like Bush/Gore came before the court?  She couldn’t speak to it objectively, at least in the eyes of the public.  So nobody is defending what she said at this point.

Yet Trump manages to take the focus away from her by questioning her mental state and demanding her resignation.  Trump’s tendency to respond to a spit ball attack with a UGM-73 Poseidon missile is bothersome at best.   Even if he didn’t launch a war over a supposed slight, his tendency to overreact would go nowhere in the world of international relations.

Still, it is promising that most people feel Ginsburg was wrong.  Nowadays any idea that we still hold to the importance of law and rules is refreshing to say the least.
