President Obama responds to the Baton Rouge shootings

His statement is here.  I appreciate the emphasis on ‘fellow Americans’ and the abundant use of the pronoun ‘our’ when describing our nation.   It would be nice if we heard this more often across the board.  Instead of relishing in the fact that a nation with 300 million people means most violent deaths will be someone else, feeling that a member of our own family has paid the price for service and sacrifice for the greater good.  Who knows?  A change like that from all sides could do wonders.
