American heroes

Remembering some of the heroes we sometimes forget.  At the time, of course, the passengers and crew of Flight 93 were at the top of the conversation and captured our imagination, admiration and sorrow.  Yet as the years go, I hear them mentioned less and less.  Kudos to Don McClarey posting on this heart-wrenching account of their last hours.  The film does a wonderful job showing people who chose to break the Lennon principle and actually risk it all for something beyond themselves.  We caught the last part of the movie the other night.  My boys didn’t know what it was (shows my point), so we just watched.  As it was coming to the climax of the event, we told them it was real and what it was about.   That changed their entire mood.
