Marcus Borg, RIP

He was, by all accounts, a kind and decent man.

But he had ceased to be a Christian, I think, according to most ordinary definitions of that word.

There seem to be a few out there, the logic of whose position would (in my view), if they followed it, eventually take members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in a similar direction.

I’ve known a few of them.  Good, thoughtful, kind, wonderful people.  But I pray that they have no such impact.
