More on that newly unveiled likely site of Jesus’ trial before Pilate January 6, 2015

In response to my earlier post on the topic, my colleague Eric Huntsman has directed me to some pictures that he’s posted of the probable steps where Pilate would have presented Jesus to the crowds (which are somewhat south of the citadel, since the barracks would not have been in the palace proper).  You need to scroll down a bit to the section that begins with a picture of “The Builders of Jerusalem Garden,” and particularly to the second, on “The Hidden Gate.”  He also provides a link to Shimon Gibson’s book, which outlines all the arguments:

All of the photos are interesting, though.  Jerusalem is, simply, one of the most fascinating places in the world.
