And, while we’re at it, Rod Dreher, a respected conservative author who isn’t a Latter-day Saint, considers the case of Eric Moutsos, that (now former) Salt Lake City police officer, here.

 

Very troubling precedents are being set.

 

If they’re not resisted now, they’ll soon become irresistible.  We may not have a lot of time.

 

In the meanwhile, Salt Lake City police chief Chris Burbank owes an apology (at a minimum) to Officer Moutsos, as well as to the American tradition of constitutional rights and to the people of the United States.
