
I was really pleased, a couple of days ago, to see a preview for the forthcoming film version of Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd. I look forward to the movie.
And I was doubly pleased to recognize, playing in the background, an orchestral/instrumental version of “Let no man steal your thyme,” which is the first track on an album (vinyl!) by the British group Pentangle that I bought way back in 1968:
