A member of Mr. Obama’s cabinet said, this past week, that he didn’t think that the federal government had the legal right to lean on “sanctuary cites” like San Francisco in order to persuade them to obey federal immigration laws.

But, thankfully, the Obama administration has just won a noble victory over the Little Sisters of the Poor:

Easy access to contraceptives is a fundamental human right, of course, and ought to be a principal focus of federal attention. Nothing should be permitted to interfere with sexual freedom.

Defense of the nation’s borders? Bah. A triviality.
