In John Sorenson’s model of Book of Mormon geography, this lake is a candidate for the Waters of Mormon and is adjacent to the land of Nephi. Note the two volcanoes. And, if I recall correctly, there’s a third large volcano nearby. Moreover, they’re not extinct.
