John 11:45-53

Compare Matthew 26:1-5; Mark 11:18; 14:1-2; Luke 19:47-48; 22:1-2

It’s the miracle of the raising of Lazarus — far too spectacular and far too public to be ignored — that seems to have finally impelled the Jewish leadership in Jerusalem to seek Jesus’ life.
