I’m deeply saddened by the responses I’ve seen among some Latter-day Saints to the Church’s recent policy adjustment regarding homosexual couples and their children.

Accordingly, as I notice such items and to the extent that I have the time — this is all coming at a very time-poor juncture for me — I’ll continue to post links to materials that I think might be helpful to some out there.

Here’s one:

Incidentally, somebody on one predictably hostile site — perpetually hostile both to the Church and to me — has summed up my posts on this topic over the past few days with the slogan — obviously borrowed from the fine folks at Westboro Baptist Church — “God Hates Fags.”

That’s supposed to be my viewpoint.

The purported summary is, of course, grossly unfair and unjust, and it’s demonstrably false.  I believe nothing of the sort and have said absolutely nothing of the sort.

There has been far, far too much of this sort of inflammatory rhetoric and sensationalized misrepresentation with respect to the current issue.  It’s damaging people and hurting relationships, and it really ought to stop.
