Marco Rubio seems to have been quite correct in branding Mr. Donald Trump a “con artist”:

But will the Trumpists care?

Friends, if you’re as concerned as I am about the impending Trumpist takeover of the Republican Party and the massive damage that this will do to the cause of American conservatism and limited government, please choose a few exposés of the real Donald and share them as widely, over the next two or three days, as you possibly can.
There is power in the grassroots. There is astonishing power in the Internet and the Web. Tens or hundreds of thousands of people who spread the truth about Trump’s history of support for liberal policies and Democratic candidates, his massive hypocrisy regarding illegal immigration, his arrogance, his rampant and unashamed personal immorality, his crass vulgarity, his bankruptcies and questionable business dealings, his lack of concern for constitutionalism, his open admiration for Strong Man leadership as it’s exemplified by such loathsome figures as Vladimir Putin, his well-documented willingness to use government against the “little people,” his public mean-spiritedness, his reduction of political discourse to the level of the World Wresting Federation, can make a genuine difference. Folks who’re tempted to support Mr. Trump should be acutely aware of all these things. If they still want to support him, if they still want to put him at the head of the party of Lincoln and Reagan, if they still want to place him in the seat once occupied by George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and to make him the international symbol of the United States of America . . . Well, in that case, there’s nothing more that we can do, and we can only mourn the gross offense against the ideals of the Founders of our Republic that a Trump victory will be.
I’m in deadly earnest. Please. This is a battle for the soul of the Republican Party and the future of our country. Post up a storm. Influence everybody you can.
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil,” said Dietrich Bonhoeffer. “God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
Pastor Bonhoeffer was martyred by the Nazis for speaking out against them. We face no such threat.
Speak out!
