“Israeli doctors, spies rally to save 5-year-old Syrian girl”

Two hospitals in Haifa
In 2006, a Katyusha rocket that had been fired from southern Lebanon hit the Bnei-Zion (or Rothschild) Hospital in Haifa, Israel, which appears in the foreground of this photograph. In the background, on the right side of the photo, standing nearer to the Mediterranean Sea and to the right of the high-rise building, is the multistory Rambam Medical Centre (named after the great medieval physician and philosopher Moses Maimonides, or Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon [hence “RaMBaM”]).  (Wikimedia Commons)

This is a wonderful story.

Normal people desperately want to see at least some signs of kindness, of humanity, in the region.  Such people will be pleased, I hope, by this account:

Thanks to Darren Zechiel for calling it to my attention.
