Tuscan countryside near Volterra, in the province of Pisa, Italy. We ate dinner in a restaurant tonight where, accompanied by eight very laissez-faire adults, at least twenty members of a local basketball team — two girls, the rest boys, all between roughly six and ten years of age — were raucously celebrating the end of their season over (what else?) pizza and French fries.
