My wife and I attended the debut performance at BYU, last night, of a new opera about the famous Pied Piper of Hamelin.  (Coincidentally, without really planning it, we drove through the north German town of Hamelin just last summer.)  The opera was quite dark and rather disturbing.

In related news:

The Republican governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, has withdrawn his support for Mr. Donald Trump.

And “Lindsey Graham Urges Republicans to Drop Trump Endorsements”

Scarcely surprising.

“Many More Awkward Moments are Surely Ahead for Trump Endorsers”

In the meantime, though, the Democratic People’s Republic of [North] Korea has had positive things to say about the Leader of Trumpism:

Is there any way out of this mess for those of us who don’t share North Korea’s enthusiasm?

Yes, there is.  Although, alas, the delegates to the Republican convention almost certainly won’t take it:

“Not a Single Republican Delegate is ‘Bound’ to Donald Trump”

And now, for those out there who claim to worry that I, a libertarian-leaning conservative, haven’t made my opposition to Hillary Clinton sufficiently explicit, here’s a little tidbit:

“Hillary Has Made Our Politics Worse”

Which leaves us with a question:

“So Why Isn’t Mitt Romney Running?”
