Now that her obituary has publicly appeared, I’m free to pay tribute to our good friend Linda Hunter Adams, who passed away on Sunday after a battle with cancer that ebbed and flowed over a number of years.

She was a member of a weekly study group to which my wife also belongs, as well as of a monthly reading group with which both my wife and I have been involved for many years.  She had me speak several times at the stake “Education Weekend” that she organized.  Most recently, she was serving as an editorial consultant for the Interpreter Foundation.

She was a bright, kind, committed, perceptive, good-humored friend, and we already miss her.

I’m pleased that she was able to spend the last portion of her earthly sojourn in the mountain cabin near Brighton that she so loved.
