Another Trumpist myth fails to withstand scrutiny:

By the way, I stopped watching Sean Hannity’s show, or listening to him, at least a year ago.  Long before Trumpulism had reached epidemic proportions.  I had never been a faithful member of Hannity’s audience, but, back when Alan Colmes shared the show, I often thought, much as I agreed with what I took to be Hannity’s general stance and strongly disagreed with that of Colmes, that Colmes frequently bested Hannity in both argument and tone.  But, while driving or while lacing up shoes for an evening out, I would sometimes catch a few minutes of either Hannity’s radio program or his television show.  He was sometimes funny and, as I say, he and I seldom disagreed on policy or candidates.  Eventually, though, I began to switch the channel.  He is, to my taste, too shrill and too nakedly partisan.  Not very thoughtful.  Too populist and demagogic.

And then, from things that I heard and that I was told, he effectively became a shill for Mr. Donald Trump.  Not much of a surprise, I’m afraid.

So I haven’t gone back.
