
I’ve said it before and — you knew this was coming — I’ll say it again: I’ve been enormously proud of my people’s resistance to Caesaro-Trumpism and to Mr. Donald J. Trump himself.

Utah will, in the end, almost certainly fall to Mr. Trump, simply because we’re an overwhelmingly Republican state and because he’s running against the deeply objectionable and unappealing Mrs. Clinton.
But I’ve been very pleased at the fact that Trumpism has had relatively little appeal for committed Latter-day Saints. And our response has contrasted beautifully with the support that Mr. Trump has received from American Evangelicals, who had serious reservations about Governor Mitt Romney’s faith, of course, but who have, by and large, embraced Mr. Trump as a brother in Jesus.
