An appeal, in the “New York Times,” for secularized leftists to go back to church

Ross Douthat exhorts secular liberals to become active in their old Protestant mainline churches again.

Or, even better, to become Catholics with him.

Or perhaps, even better still, to become Mormons.  (Yes, he really says that.  More or less.)
