But my sense is that Latter-day Saints may be facing an analogous problem: Fewer kids are studying piano, which means that, in the end, there are fewer people available to play the organ for sacrament services, since most (in the LDS tradition, anyway) reach organ via the piano.
So, if you’ve ever had a hankering to learn to play the organ, do it! And you could make your children very useful down the line by teaching them to play piano.
