A friend tells me that he’s heard that Church leadership in Edmonton, Alberta, is permitting local Muslims to use a stake center there — specifically, its Relief Society room — during the four weeks of the holy month of Ramadan for late night (10 PM) meals/celebrations to break the month-long daily fast.  It seems that the Muslims had no adequate place to meet.  Other churches were approached for help on the matter, but declined.  The local leaders thought it appropriate, though, because (they said) Muslims are our brothers and sisters.

Is there anybody out there in the Edmonton area who can confirm whether this is true or not?  If it is, I’m quite pleased by it.  Proud of it, in fact.
