Hales Swift has created another of his brief but thoughtful video presentations to accompany Gospel Doctrine teaching and study in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This one, available like its predecessors at no charge on the website of the Interpreter Foundation, is a video supplement for Come, Follow Me Lesson 31: “The Power of God unto Salvation”:
“Abraham as Father of All the Faithful”

Also now available on the website of the Interpreter Foundation is the 4 August 2019 episode of the Interpreter Radio Show, freed from commercial breaks and interruptions and accessible at no cost. This particular episode featured Neal Rappleye, Jasmine Rappleye, Stephen Smoot, and Hales Swift, along with special in-studio guests Spencer Marsh and Jaxon Washburn. Their discussion in the first hour focused on “Early Return Missionaries” and the approaching FAIRMormon conference. The second hour was devoted to the upcoming Come, Follow Me lesson #33 on 1 Corinthians 1-7:
“Interpreter Radio Show — August 4, 2019”

In temple-related news, with photographs:
“Open House Begins for Haiti Temple”
“Church Releases Hong Kong China Temple Renovation Details”

And, for all you LDS true-crime buffs out there, here’s an item from an Evangelical news source — it’s a tad old, but it just came to my notice this afternoon — that combines information about your faith tradition with your criminal interests:
“Nation Warned Of Roving Mormon Bicycle Gang ‘Heck’s Angels'”
Is this another fiendish undertaking by the Interpreter Foundation? Inquiring minds want to know.
I was pleased to see that the report mentions my old friend the Rev. James White. Bill Hamblin and I debated Rev. Wright on the radio many years ago, on Martin Tanner’s radio show.

Well, the 2019 FairMormon Conference begins tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 9 AM at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo, and it runs through Thursday and ends at 5:45 PM on Friday. Please remember: This is not an all or nothing affair. You can come for all three days, or for just two days, or for just one of the days, or for part days, or for just part of one day. And if you can’t be physically present in the Convention Center, you can listen and watch via live streaming on one of your electronic devices. (Not on your toaster, of course. But you get the idea.)
I should warn you, in case you’re planning on attending in person, that the parking situation for the Convention Center is not ideal. (What were they thinking?) But it’s manageable. Just allow yourself some time. AND DON’T TAKE MY SPACE!
