The demonstrations today against radical Islamist terrorism and in favor of freedom of speech — in Paris, throughout France, and elsewhere — were enormous, and very impressive.

A question, though: Why was there no representative of the United States at that enormous rally in Paris? The prime minister of Israel was there. The chancellor of Germany. The president of Palestine. The prime minister of Great Britain. And so on. Why weren’t any of our leaders there?
