Chris Henrichsen has reposted an interesting earlier piece — “interesting” here meaning not only that I essentially agree with it, though there is that — in which he questions some of the public narrative about John Dehlin:

It’s a narrative that he thinks (and, once again, I concur) that Mr. Dehlin has himself crafted, at least to a considerable degree.

One of the reasons that this article is so interesting is that Chris Henrichsen agrees with Mr. Dehlin on the subject of gay rights.

So when you see headlines, as you surely will and probably already have, suggesting that John Dehlin is facing ecclesiastical action because he supports redefining marriage, please understand that there are many — including his own stake president and at least a few who share his position on that topic — who regard that suggestion as misleading, to say the best of it.
