“I’m all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let’s start with typewriters.”
Frank Lloyd Wright (1868-1959)
Of course, today, we would need to get computers out of such hands. But fools are all over the internet. They infest newspaper comments sections. And, as has been pointed out, they also refute the fantasy that, given enough time, a few million monkeys, typing randomly away for hour after hour, would eventually create the works of Shakespeare. These monkeys have had long enough, and that theory is now definitively dead.
