“The Die-Hard Republicans Who Say #Never-Trump”

If Donald Trump secures the Republican presidential nomination, I predict that the party will experience an electoral disaster on a grander scale, possibly, than Senator Barry Goldwater’s 1964 defeat.  The Supreme Court — to which Mrs. Clinton, the overwhelmingly likely Democratic nominee, will appoint at least three justices — will go further to the left and will remain that way for at least a generation.

From a Republican point of view, and from a conservative point of view, it will be an epochal disaster:
