Well, the Second Interpreter Conference on Mormonism and Science has come and gone, and already we’re thinking about another one.  (I had good conversations with David Bailey about possible future themes.)  Many thanks to David and to Jeff Bradshaw for organizing it.

The conference was well attended.  I always wake up on the mornings of such meetings, when I bear any responsibility for them, wondering whether we’ll manage to attract an audience of even five people, beyond the speakers themselves.

I needn’t have worried.  The hall was largely full throughout the day. The presentations were excellent, and the audience questions were both good and far more numerous than we could get through.

We did not, in the end, live-stream the conference.  I apologize for that.  But videos of the presentations will be up on the Interpreter website at some point in the not-too-distant future, and our intent is eventually to publish the conference proceedings.  (As I’ve recently mentioned, the first copies of the expanded proceedings of our first conference, held in late 2013, have recently begun to appear — and will shortly be on sale — from Eborn Books.)

We ended the evening having dinner at a restaurant with several Interpreter Foundation leaders and a number of those who attended the conference.

We’re tired.  But it’s a good kind of tired.
