The Economist is, beyond reasonable dispute, one of the finest magazines in the English-speaking world.  (It’s British.)  So I’m pleased that it’s taken notice of the stalwart Mormon opposition to Donald Trump.  And I got a kick out of one of the accompanying photographs, which shows the skyline of Salt Lake City and pronounces it the “HQ” of the anti-Trump movement.  That’s something to be very proud of.

“Why Ted Cruz triumphed in Utah”

Meanwhile, back to the ways in which Mr. Donald Trump has elevated the 2016 race for the presidency:

Here he is mocking Heidi Cruz, the wife of his Republican rival, Senator Ted Cruz.

And if you imagine that his disparagement of Mrs. Cruz’s physical appearance is a one-time aberration on the part of Mr. Trump, you might consider reading this appalling portrait of his evidently life-long contempt for women.  (Warning: The article contains some graphic material.  But that material speaks volumes about Mr. Trump’s character.  Reader discretion advised.)

Here’s a piece on his recently-identified panel of foreign policy advisors.  Some have said that he’s about to become more presidential, turning toward substance and seriousness.  He himself has suggested that he might.  But his foreign policy team provides little supporting evidence for that hope.
