Some “safe spaces” are more equal than others

Some “safe spaces” are more equal than others

I realize that I’m really old and terminally uncool, as well as white and male and a member of the privileged oppressor class, but, well . . .

Okay, I’m just going to blurt it out:

It makes little sense to me that leftist students at a university (!) would need a “safe space” in which to “recover” and “heal” because some ideas that differed from theirs were once spoken within a mile or two of where they sometimes hang out — but that reservations about men freely entering girls’ restrooms are the product of mere hysteria, religious fanaticism, and bigotry.  (No “safe space” there.)

Nor do I really quite grasp the reasoning of those who’re boycotting North Carolina on this issue but who, in many cases, have no problem whatever with visiting (and even celebrating) the Castro brothers’ prison island of Cuba.
