I wrote briefly yesterday about the tragic death of a young man, the son of friends and (until very recently) neighbors, who leaves behind a family of seven, including a newborn.

It’s an unspeakably sad story.

The effort is closing in on its goal of $7000, but any amount beyond the sum needed to pay funeral expenses will assist a large young family and a struggling, young, suddenly-widowed mother — and they’ll be coping with this tragedy for a very long time.
