The Sun may not always be quite so friendly or benevolent as she appears.
It turns out that this presidential election may actually not represent the most serious threat to life and human flourishing on our fragile planet. We seem to have dodged a bullet back in 2015:
“Crack discovered in Earth’s magnetic shield”
Had the burst been much more severe, it might have rendered commercial tanning salons unnecessary and could even have put them out of business around the world.
