I’ve made it my policy to post nothing political on Sundays and to try to avoid political conversations, whether on this blog or on Facebook, on that day.
I feel especially strongly about my policy this weekend. For some reason, there’s been a great deal of passion and considerable unpleasantness over the past few days regarding politics.
One might have thought that, with the election behind us, things would get better. But, instead, at least in my corner of the vineyard, they’ve actually gotten worse. And I’m very tired of it. It’s become extremely wearisome.
So, please, take a break from politics — at least on and around this blog — for a day. Sunday. The Sabbath. And, if you’re one of those who’re impassioned about current political happenings, it will likely do you good. And I would really appreciate it.
