When Gods Were Men
The Bible opens up with two distinct creation myths. Recently, I had an opportunity to write a brief essay on these accounts for Bible Odyssey, an online division of the Society of Biblical Literature. Bible Odyssey is a site that introduces issues addressed in contemporary scholarship to a general audience. It’s a very helpful resource, filled with fascinating essays.
