Are you being heard?

Are you being heard?

We all have something to say but is anyone listening to us?

Perhaps it’s a simple instruction or just a kind word. Maybe it is a stern admonition or a protective word of caution. It could be just an attempt to sway someone to our way of thinking or advice for a thorny situation. Whatever purpose our spoken words may have, are they having the intended effect? Are they landing on their target with impact? Are your words being heard?

The answers to these questions likely depend on a related factor, specifically, how well do you listen to others, to your heart and to God.

We can’t learn what God’s will for us is by talking to Him, but rather by listening. In John chapter 8, Jesus tells us that those of us who belong to God hear him. — that’s the mark of a Christian — that they hear his word and do it.

Red letter believers — in society, in homes, in churches and in the workplace — have a unique, eternal perspective that can only be gained by hearing God, and then by actually doing what we hear him say.

And that my friends, is how we will change the world.

Please, share with a friend if you feel moved.
