Interviews are interesting displays of human character. Everyone is on their best behavior, and yet they try to act normal. That creates some paradoxes.
Monster.com has listed some interesting humor from the world of interviews.
One woman, being interviewed for a clerical position, was asked about her “yes” mark next to the felony conviction question. She had hired someone to kill her ex-husband, but at the last minute she called it off. She claimed her medication was now helping.
One man being interviewed for an 1-800 sales job for a retailer claimed that he “hated the Internet, hated catalogs, hated shopping.”
Another position was for a phlebotomist in-training position, but the interviewee admitted that she “hated needles.”
One person was very nervous during an interview and kept glancing at his watch. “Is there a problem?” the interviewer asked? “It’s just that my wife is in labor. I dropped her off at the hospital on the way here.”
Red Letter Believers, Christians who follow the words of Christ, need to be honest and open during job interviews. Interviews are also great places to relay your faith. “I am a Christian and I am very serious about work, because it ultimately glorifies God. I believe this will make me a better worker and I’ll be a great asset to this company.”
If you go into your job from day one with this attitude, you’ll be a success and do your work ‘as unto the Lord.”
