The peace you’re looking for is not “out there.”
When I wrote The Only Little Prayer You Need, this point became clearer to me than ever. We keep looking to our President or our spouse or our job or our bank account to give us peace of mind. But if we assign that power to something outside ourselves, any peace we experience will be fleeting at best.
When you ask for your fear-based thoughts to be healed, you acknowledge that your happiness doesn’t depend on the chaotic world around you. Instead, it depends on the steadfast peace of God within you.
That’s something you can count on, no matter who the President may be.
