3/22 Day 3: Tuesday in Jerusalem, Mount of Olives

3/23 Day 4: Silent Wednesday

  • It speculated that Jesus and his disciples spent this day resting in Bethany in anticipation of Passover.
  • He performs the miracle of raising his close friend Lazarus from the grave.
  • The event is recorded in John 11:1-44.

3/24 Day 5: Maundy Thursday‘s Passover, Last Supper

  • This is the final meal that Jesus shared with his Apostles in Jerusalem before his crucifixion.
  • It provides the scriptural basis for the Eucharist, also known as “Holy Communion”.
  • Thursday’s events are recorded in Matthew 26:17–75, Mark 14:12-72, Luke 22:7-62, and John 13:1-38.

3/25 Day 6: Good Friday‘s Trial, Crucifixion, Death, Burial

3/26 Day 7: Holy Saturday in the Tomb

  • This day commemorates the day that Jesus Christ’s body lay in the tomb.
  • Jesus’ disciples and followers mourned his death and the women prepared spices and ointments for his body.
  • Saturday’s events are recorded in Matthew 27:62-66, Mark 16:1, Luke 23:56, andJohn 19:40.

3/27 Day 8: Resurrection Sunday!

  • This is the festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, described as occurring on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by Romans at Calvary.
  • When his followers returned to the tomb, they found the stone rolled back and no body inside.
  • Sunday’s events are recorded in Matthew 28:1-13, Mark 16:1-14, Luke 24:1-49, andJohn 20:1-23.
