Da Vinci Code and Professional Protesters!

The latest religious controversy to hit concerning artistic freedom is that about the book “Da Vinci Code”. Just a few months back the very right-wing Christians who were pooh-poohing the Muslims of Saudi Arabia at their “sensitivity” to Mohammad cartoons suddenly seem to have borrowed their shallow nerves. Now, Brown’s work on Da Vinci and the suggestion that Jesus was married hurts badly!

“Marriages are made in Heaven” they say… suddenly what is made is “Heaven” has become a SIN when it comes to the “Ruler of Heaven”!! The more I listen to or read the Right-wingers or Church leaders on TV or elsewhere.. the more I am convinced that no one cares a bit about Jesus … his essence…of what He was. They have created a whole new Jesus around themselves and live by what they think are His teachings! This is a long topic that I have touched elsewhere in my blogs and will elaborate on later sometime..

Meanwhile here is a news item which says the Indian Muslims have also joined hands with their Christian Brothers to protest against the book as Jesus is a Prophet in the Holy Quran. So they wanna join in the fun too. And protesting is not just something that happens because you feel bad and go out to express yourself.. in India there are professional Organizations that protect “Muslim Culture”.. like:

“If the government doesn’t do anything, we will try our own ways of stopping the film from being shown,” said Syed Noori, president of Mumbai-based Raza Academy, a Muslim cultural organisation that often organises protests on issues concerning Islam. “We are prepared for violent protests in India if needed.”

If you read carefully, it just means this guy Noori is just a glorified terrorist! Just do as I say or else – VIOLENCE!!
