Guys.. unbeknownst to me, my host had upgraded to PHP 4.4.6 and although this should not be a big deal.. but Drupal – my software platform is like a sensitive lady which gets disturbed at every change underground!
So, here are the issues that occured:
- Instead of the main page showing all the content – it was showing the original welcome message – except for me, the administrator!
- The pages were loading REAL slow!! Every other area was loading jsut fine.. but the pages!!
Fortunately, for me there is a Drupal Forum.. which provided me answers for both – including the exact queries I needed to run to fix these.
The answer for #1 was that something in node access may have messed up the thingy.. so this solution post gave me the queries that I needed to "reboot" the node access controls!!
The answer to #2 was that I had this "Digg this" icon on my site which it seems had started behaving strange after the php upgrade!! So all I did was to disable the Digg This module and whoa.. the nodes load like a breeze as they did before!! Solution here.
So, now you can view your favorite site as you did before.. and sorry for the inconvenience!!
