In the very nice quote from Shvetashvatara Upanishad, we heard about the first cause. One of the things that many people talk about is of nature and soul as the other elements that are causeless and so part of the "first cause" as well. The basic truth is that one that changes – cannot be primordial and so the first cause.
One that changes will have comprised of other "components" who either change/arise/die/or their relationships change. Nothing changes on its own! These "components" are the ones that would have been the first cause. The question that needs to be asked is always – does it change? Can it be everywhere? Is it beyond death and life? And finally is it Infinite and infinitesimal? All the elements mentioned in the quote from the Upanishad change and cannot be infinite. Therefore, they cannot be the first cause.
First cause is beyond imagination.
