How Did Boston Bombers Get So Heavily Armed Without Background Checks??

Two interesting pieces of information on the Boston Bombers have emerged.

First is that none of the Bombers (younger was less than 21 years old anyway) had licenses to buy firearms. Yet they had a large cache of arms to carry out many attacks! And this comes right after the Senate has voted against improving the background checks.

The Boston bombing suspects engaged in a deadly firefight with police last week, possessing six bombs, handguns, a rifle and more than 250 rounds of ammunition. But the Tsarnaev brothers did not have proper licenses to possess the firearms, according to the Cambridge Police Department — a revelation that comes just days after the Senate voted against strengthening and expanding background checks for gun sales.

So basically a radicalized guy chooses to shoot his victims out and the ever-helping Republicans and the NRA have helped them out. The ridiculous situation that NRA and the conservatives are prepetuatiing in the US is underscored by the ammunition recovered from these brothers shows that they got them rather easily.

Second piece of information is the radicalization of the dead brother.. the elder one. How he was speaking the language which many radicalized – and even not-so-radicalized Muslims speak day in and day out in mosques, websites, TV and radio program. I know I have heard these things on Pakistani TV and radio programs as a matter of fact discussion items.

In disrupting the talk in January at the Islamic Society of Boston mosque in Cambridge, Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s shouted at a speaker: “You are a Kafir” – a nonbeliever, according to Yusufi Vali, a spokesman for the mosque. Tsarnaev went on to say the speaker was contaminating people’s minds, and accused him of being a hypocrite.

The congregation disagreed, according to Vali, and “shouted him out of the mosque” on Prospect Street.

So there may be thousands of potential terrorists lurking under the radar who are as or more radicalized than the elder brother was.
