India's vote against Iran on Nuclear Issue

So finally the vote happened on the Iran’s nuclear issue and India voted against Iran! Twenty-seven members, including India, voted in favour of the motion, five abstained and three voted against.

Now, this is one issue on which China, Germany, France, and Russia have come to side with the US! That is useful for the US and quite intriguing as well! If China and Russia indeed have such large stakes in Iran as we all know they have.. and they know that US is kind of in a corner with respect to “attacking another country”.. then it is pretty obvious that there must be something that they found completely against their national interest in allowing Iran to acquire the nukes!

German Chancellor Angela Merkel likened Iran’s nuclear programme to the threat posed by the Nazis in the early 1930s, saying the world must act to stop Tehran making an atomic bomb.

I somehow feel that India’s vote this time may be linked to the nuclear program benefits that US has promised as well as probably a favorable Security Council membership! Just a conjecture on my part.
