Great joke! Four beautiful ladies walked into a hotel to stay in for the night, the name of the hotel read, “Pleasure Giving Hotel For Women” The ladies were convinced and walked in. On the first floor a sign read, ‘the men on this floor are not good at having sex, but are very gentle and very tempting’. The ladies were not satisfied and they walked to the second floor which a sign read, ‘the men on this floor are good at having sex but are very rude and self-considerate’ The ladies were once again not satisfied and went on to the third floor where a sign said, ‘There are nothing wrong with the men on this floor, they’re good at having soft sex they are very nice, gentle and hot’ the four ladies were tempted to go in but decided to go to the last floor to see what was in it. Cartoon Network in Hindi irks a Pakistani!

A letter to editor in Dawn - a popular Pakistani newspaper. It shows how worried our neighbors get when they hear anything in the language of the "Infidels"! That language is anyway related to religion is a strange concept.. but one that is very strongly held by many communities. If language can make you a lesser Muslim or a Hindu or a Christian.. then it is not a comment on the language but the religion itself.. it must be really fragile one! RECENTLY, while skipping through the cable channels, I came across the Cartoon Network which is widely being watched by many children in Pakistan. One important thing to notice is that all the cartoons being aired have been dubbed into Hindi. I think one can easily understand where this will lead our children. Read more

Anti-Collision Device.. that is what India is offering to Egypt.. and we have not even installed it in OUR entire railway system.. just the Konkan Railway! How can we just make another country's infrastructure so good while ours lacks so much.. and that is when WE are the pioneers in that field? Here is a great example of that! Train travel along the Nile would soon be much safer. Egypt has evinced keen interest in acquiring the anti-collision device developed by the Konkan Railways. Read more

This is the height of concentration of wealth in the world! Poor have no way to forge ahead is it? Well.. if you look at yesterday's post of mine on India and China you will realize that it is all temporary and can change.. heck where was Japan on Jan 1, 1900? The richest two per cent of adults in the world own more than half of global household wealth, according to a study released on Tuesday. In 2000 the richest one per cent of adults owned 40 per cent of global wealth, a report by the Helsinki-based World Institute for Development Economics Research of the United Nations University said. You need further proof of Global Warming? Here is another one.. the Alps are the warmest in 1300 years! Europe's Alpine region is going through its warmest period in 1,300 years, the head of an extensive climate study said Tuesday. "We are currently experiencing the warmest period in the Alpine region in 1,300 years," Reinhard Boehm, a climatologist at Austria's Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics said. Boehm based his comments on the results of a project conducted by a group of European institutes between March 2003 and August 2006. Their aim was to reconstruct the climate in the region encompassing the Rhone Valley in France to the west, Budapest, Hungary to the east, Tuscany, Italy to the south and Nuremberg, Germany to the north over the past 1,000 years.
