Presumably Muslims leaders including 3 MPs have sent an open letter to the UK PM. The letter is so downright condoning of Pan-Islamic feelings that it somehow brings out into the open the inherent reasons for the strife in the world!! That someone can be "understood" to have more feeling for a fellow religionist in some "other" country and one may be expected to empathize with him/her is he/she chooses to bomb own neighbors and countrymen, is simply pathetic!! Empathize so much that the head of the country should indeed change the foreign policy!! Read more

I had discussed in my last post that the outsourcing debate is on the wrong track! It is NOT about the cost at all. It is about scalability and efficiency foremost! Here is another opinion that finally sees that light! Salaries for Indian IT workers are climbing an average 12% annually. As large U.S. companies such as IBM and Electronic Data Systems Corp. expand operations in India, some analysts and competitors contend that pressure on wages will only increase, and the top-tier Indian IT providers will become victims of their own success. Read more

Paul McDougall suggests that the employment is growing in the US IT sector as well as the Indian IT sector! This runs contrary to what the patriotic and xenophobic pundits like Lou Dobbs have been ranting about all along! So how come this is happening? IT employment in the United States is growing even as more businesses outsource tech work overseas. Hudson, a professional staffing firm, reports in their July survey that hiring and pay in the tech sector is up, as is worker confidence. At the same time, India's revenues from outsourcing are climbing--up 32% in the second quarter, according to an Indian trade group. Read more

Guys - just wanted to let you know that I have been using midphase as my host. I looked around a lot and found only midphase to be close to my requirements. I wanted unmetered disk-space because my last host siteground.com had repeatedly disconnected me with even simplest of wordpress sites because of the "load" factor! But I also wanted to get at least 10GB or close to 15 GB at a price that was preferably less than $10/month! Midphase is the only one that satisfies the criteria! If you want to start your own website - like mine.. or with features that you can see in SAPprofessionals.org Read more

Just got an email with the following information on the date-rape drug called Rohypnol. What it contains is simply scary! A woman at a Gas nightclub (Mumbai) on Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her at Bus stand Mumbai. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes along with traces of rohypnol in her blood.Rohypnol, date rape drug is an essentially a small sterilization pill. The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. All they have to do is drop it into the girl's drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of! all that had taken place the night before. Rohypnol, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't conceive from the rape and the rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later. The Drug's affects ARE NOT TEMPORARY - they are PERMANENT . Read more
