Christ is risen! Христос Воскрес!

I have much more to say tomorrow about the Latin service that I attended because my friend was getting chrismated and I was going in support. Far from abandoning my Kyivan church, the service afforded some of us some brilliant conversation afterward over a meaty dinner. The Holy Spirit is at work, for:

Christ is risen from the dead, trampling death by death, and to those in the tombs giving life!
Christ is risen from the dead, trampling death by death, and to those in the tombs giving life!
Christ is risen from the dead, trampling death by death, and to those in the tombs giving life!

With every time we sing ‘trampling death by death’ at my home temple in Vancouver, we stomp the ground, a practice I heard that our Melkite sisters and brothers also do. The Paschal tropar is now stuck in my head, as is the exapostelarion:

In the flesh You fell asleep as a mortal man, O King and Lord. You rose on the third day raising Adam from corruption and destroying Death, O Pascha of incorruption, the salvation of the world!

Hell is angered, death is trampled, Christ is risen, and as I am very full, I am going to bed to sleep like a baby. More tomorrow.
