The Green New Deal: statements from Rome and Constantinople, 1989-2018 February 13, 2019

The outline for the Green New Deal is out. It’s only 14 pages, and it is very easy to read. Every Christian in our apostolic churches will find that it’s nothing that the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Bishop of Rome haven’t been saying for years, just now in the form of an action plan for the United States.

Read it here.

if the leaders of the Church fall for the Green, globalization propaganda, they will “lead” their followers to ruin & destruction. The new “Green” is the old “Red” (as someone has said) of the one world crowd – if it happens, there will be nowhere to turn and those who go against the globalists will be destroyed (i.e. murdered) because, after all you have to crack a few eggs to make the omelet. The idea of a one world governing body ruling the planet is frightening and doomed to failure. Human rulers often seek utopia which is nothing but fool’s gold and a legacy of dead bodies because mankind is flawed and cannot take the place of their Creator. Have we not learned anything from history (20th century history alone is enough to reject this dystopia)?

    • We did. We’ve learned a lot from John Maynard Keynes.

What a joke — and here you are, leading sheep to slaughter. I pray that many more see this for what it truly is: One World Order, and the end of civiliation. May God have mercy on us…

    • My dear brother, are you familiar with the Latin Church? I believe they are supposed to be a ‘One World Order,’ but instead of ending ‘civliation,’ they usually spell it correctly.

Well, I think that it is a wonderful thing that the Democrats are presenting this plan. It is only a shame that Democrat senators seem so willing to run away from it. When Senator McConnell announced that the resolution would be brought to the floor of the Senate for a vote to give Democrats the opportunity to go on record as supporting it, Rep. Markey one of the two lead sponsors of the resolution accused McConnell of attempting to “sabotage” the plan by “rushing a vote” on the Green New Deal. Markey said that calling for a vote on the resolution presented by members of his party was a “Republican trick.”

Why am I happy about the Democrat’s support for this plan? Because portions of it are unconstitutional, some are scientifically flawed to the point of being worthless, some are simply impossible, and some are completely unaffordable no matter how we try to pay for it. Attempting to sell this plan to a literate public not blinded by hatred is doomed, and so would be the Democratic party.

Thank you for bringing all these resources together. Most of them I knew about, but it’s good to have them all in one place. Having read the 14 pages of the Green New Deal, I’m dismayed by some comments that jump from the obvious idea that government needs to do something to an irrational fear of one world government. The fact is we have a “single world order” now, and it is destroying people and nature in pursuit of power and financial gain for a very few.The Green New Deal is a vision that needs to be debated publicly by all parties, improved where necessary, and acted on as soon as possible. If you’re Catholic or Orthodox and not concerned about every item in the Whereas’s, I suggest you further your education by reading the church documents linked in this post.

    • I am still not sure what this one world government is. I don’t think it’s even in our sister church’s Third Secret.
